I was 24 years old when I got diagnosed with type-1 diabetes. It was devastating news at that time, and I knew it was going to be a long road ahead get to know and accept this disease. And it indeed took a while figuring out how to manage everything. Me having a severe fear of needles made it even harder, especially when needing to insert my insuline each day.
After one year of struggling I got the opportunity to use an insulin pump. I wanted a tubeless pump and I chose the Medtrum Nano 200U pump. It was such a relieve. Dealing with my diabetes felt so much easier now. Even my fear of needles could be put aside which made it much more manageble.
After half a year I was able to get the CGM from Medtrum. It took a while to build my algoritm, but now that I’m on the automatic mode it’s just so easy to manage my levels.
My bloodsugar is in range for most of the time and my bloodwork also looks much better than before. It makes my life so much easier and I can really live my life to the fullest now. I don’t think I would’ve been able to do that with just insulin pens.
Lastly I love that the CGM and pump are small and lightweight. I now wear them with pride.
