What is an insulin patch pump?
An insulin patch pump is a pump that is worn directly on the body, attaching onto the skin via an adhesive and delivering the insulin through a small needle.
Patch pumps deliver insulin continuously into the body. The patch pump can be controlled wirelessly via Bluetooth through your phone or a separate handset called a Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM).
How often must I change my pump?
The pump is made of two parts: a pump base that contains all the electronic components which you keep hold of, and a reservoir containing up to 200 (or 300U) units of insulin (please note the patch does not come pre filled) providing you with up to 3 days of continuous insulin delivery.
What are the advantages of using a patch pump?
The Nano pump is small and discreet and can be worn on different parts of your body and under your favorite clothes. There is no tube so no risk of catching it on door handles. As it delivers insulin continuously you do not have to do multiple daily injections which gives you peace of mind to continue with your daily activities.
The 200U pump is the smallest (40.5mm X 31.5mm x 11.5mm) and lightest (13.8g) insulin patch pump currently on the market.
What are the specifications of the Nano pump needle?
The cannula is a stainless steel needle of 30G, measuring 5mm (0.2'') with a 90 degree angle to the skin.
What type of insulin can be used with the Nano patch pump?
It is recommended to use rapid-acting U-100 insulin. The following insulin brands have been tested and found to be safe for use with the patch pump: Humalog®, NovoRapid®,Apidra®, Fiasp®, Lyumjev® and Insulin lispro Sanofi®.
Where can I wear the Nano patch pump?
The Nano pump can be placed on the abdomen, lower back, buttock, upper arm, thigh but away from the navel. The location you choose for your pump depends on what feels most comfortable for you.
The skin must be clean, hair free, dry, with enough fat (at least 5mm).
A new infusion site should be at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) away from the last site and the sensor.
If you choose an infusion site on your abdomen, back or buttocks, apply the patch horizontally.
If you choose an infusion site on your upper arm or thigh, apply the patch vertically.
Can I play sports while wearing my patch pump?
Tubeless, the small and compact Nano insulin pump will not get in the way when you are playing sports. You can also go swimming with your pump as it is waterproof to a depth of 2.5 meters (8 feet) for up to 60 minutes (IP28).
Can I travel abroad with my pump?
The Nano pump is safe to pass through the metal detection machines at the airports, but cannot pass through the full body scanners. Our team can provide you with a travel card as well as a list of Travel & Holiday Essentials, so you are fully prepared for your travels.
How do I control my pump from my phone?
You will need to download our EasyPatch App onto your phone* and connect it to your pump each time you change your pump. It is quick, easy and very discreet to check your trends or do a bolus using your phone.
If you prefer to use your PDM you can connect it to our EasyTouch App.

How long will my data be saved for?
The controller (PDM or App) stores data for 90 days. When uploaded to Easyview, data is stored for 2 years.
Should I remove my patch pump if I am going for X-Rays, MRIs or CTscans?
Yes, you must remove your patch pump before going into examinations.
The TouchCare System may be affected by strong radiation or magnetic fields. If you are going to have an X-ray, MRI, CT scan or other type of exposure to radiation, remove your Patch Pump and Glucose Sensing System, and put them outside the treatment area with your PDM. Change the Reservoir Patch and Sensor after the test or procedure is completed.

CGM or Continuous Glucose Monitoring – also often referred to as sensor - is a way to measure glucose level in the interstitial fluid via a small glucose sensor. It enables you to get trends and patterns in glucose levels day and night.
Our Nano CGM is made of 2 parts: a rechargeable transmitter and a sensor. It automatically sends glucose readings every 2 minutes to a receiver. It is small, discreet, and calibration-free*.
*Calibration is possible if desired. Confirm with a finger prick if symptoms or expectations do not match readings or alerts.
What is the size of the Nano CGM?
The Nano CGM is super slim and ultra-thin : 28.3mm x17.8mm x 5.2mm and only weighs 2.7 g.
Do I need to calibrate my Nano CGM?
The Nano CGM is factory calibrated. If you have entered the sensor code successfully, the system will not require calibration. But you can calibrate the sensor if you like. If you choose not to enter the sensor code, you must calibrate your sensor twice on the first day.
How often must I replace my sensor?
The Nano CGM can be worn up to 14 days. You will get 14 day data storage and no data lost with auto-recovery if separated from your receiver.
What is the shelf life of the CGM?
Glucose sensors have a one-year expiration date from the time they are manufactured. The expiration date is on the outside of the glucose sensor box and on each individual glucose sensor package.
Where can I wear the sensor?

Do I have to disconnect the sensor to swim?
No. The sensor (with a transmitter properly installed) is waterproof to a depth of 2.5 meters (8 feet) for up to 60 minutes (IP28). You can swim with the sensor and transmitter on.
Can I connect my pump to a CGM?
Yes, you can connect the Nano pump to the Nano CGM for better control and management of your diabetes; including customizing your alerts and alarms to warn you before a high or low state.
You can also wear the Nano CGM as standalone using the EasySense App.
How long will my data be saved for?
The transmitter stores data for 14 days, the controller (PDM or App) stores data for 90 days. When uploaded to Easyview, data is stored for 2 years.
What are the highest and lowest glucose reading?
Sensor glucose reading range is from 2.2- 22.2 mmol/L (40 mg/dL -400 mg/dL)
What benefits do I get by using both the Nano pump and Nano CGM together?
When combined with the Nano Patch Pump, Auto Mode can be enabled. Basal and correction bolus is automatically adjusted to bring the glucose close to the set target.
The burden on the user is further reduced by using meal announcements to replace carbohydrate inputs.
